The Motor Ombudsman, the automotive dispute resolution provider, is pleased to announce that Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre in North Yorkshire has won the inaugural ‘Extra Mile’ customer service trophy at this year’s Servicesure ‘Autocentre of the Year’ awards. The annual prize giving ceremony, which took place at the Coombe Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire, showcases examples of excellence within the group’s renowned nationwide network of independent garages.
From the shortlist of Servicesure Autocentres in The Motor Ombudsman-sponsored ‘Extra Mile’ category, the 17-year-old business near Harrogate, which has been accredited to the CTSI-approved Motor Industry Code of Practice for Service and Repair since 2010, saw off stiff competition to emerge victorious on the night. Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre was selected for the accolade based on their award submission and positive customer ratings and reviews on their Motor Ombudsman Garage Finder profile page, which clearly demonstrated a commitment to delivering the highest standards of service and workmanship. The garage is equally dedicated to resolving any issues quickly and swiftly, no matter how small, to help maintain the satisfaction of their loyal customer base. If this was not enough, Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre uses their spare time to help others in the local community.
Presenting the award, Bill Fennell, Chief Ombudsman and Managing Director of The Motor Ombudsman, said: “We would like to congratulate Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre on their fantastic achievement, and we are very proud of their long association with our Code of Practice. When reviewing the numerous entries to the ‘Extra Mile’ category, they clearly stood out as an organisation that goes above and beyond to ensure a happy and repeat customer, and were therefore rightly commended for this exemplary approach.”
Simon Graeme, Founder of Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre, added: “We are delighted to be the first winner of the ‘Extra Mile’ award. It is testimony to our long-established philosophy of always putting the customer first, and the hard work of the whole team day in, day out. We look forward to showing off the trophy at our premises to remind our customers, and staff alike, of the great lengths that we go to, and the clear rewards that this brings.”
Neil Croxson, President and COO of The Parts Alliance, which established and supports Servicesure, said: “Simon and his team are a fantastic example of the Servicesure network, which is driven by the passion, commitment and quality of garages like this. Simon’s business is clearly valued by both its customers and the community, and I’m delighted he’s received this recognition on a national scale.”
